You’ve mainly dwelt on telling us what the big Silicon valley guns are or hoping to do to bring connectivity to the next billion. I see no mention of efforts — if any — from local players and developers in achieving this goal. You don’t seem to subscribe to the fact that African problems had better been solved by African rather than by western powers like what China has done. This optimism you portray is short of the fact that these companies that apparently want to save Africa from its current digital blackout have vested interests that serve them more than they do local markets.
